Rhoda SCOTT & Thomas DUFFIN

        Rhoda SCOTT, bn abt 1855, was the 7th child and 4th daughter of John SCOTT & Sarah SAVAGE. 

        On the 1861 census, Rhoda is 6 years old, which agrees with a birth year of about 1855; but on the 1881,
        she is 22 years old, making a birth year of 1859.

        She married Thomas DUFFIN in Dec. Qtr. of 1883, probably at the Methodist Chapel in Christchurch.

        As the DUFFINs appear to live right next door to my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather and his family, this must be the 
        same Thomas DUFFIN.

        Neither of the girls married.  

        Dad remembers an elderly Mr & Mrs DUFFIN who lived at Primrose Hall Farm,
        through the Halfpenny Toll Road, between Christchurch and Lots Bridge [late 1920s/early 1930s].

        In Nov 2001 - I received a copy of the will of my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather, John SCOTT of Christchurch, nr Upwell
          - and one of the executors of the will was his son-in-law,  Thomas DUFFIN.
 
         Rhoda died 7 September 1936, and Thomas in 13 January 1942.  Both are buried in Christchurch Churchyard in 
         adjacent graves.   Lucy is buried with her father.
