1848. Last Will of Samuel Davis (Book A:62, Clarion County, PA) July
22 AD 1847.
"It is my will and desire being in my perfect mind and in the fear of
God to make my last will and testament. In the first place I
recommend my immortal spirit to God who gave it in hopes of a joyfull
resurrection. It is my will and desire that my land lying in Indiana
County, Blacklick Township should be sold by my sons Silas and Samuel
after my decease and the money laid out in land some where in this
section of country. It is my will that my wife Polly shall have the
title and use of the land bought with the money as long as she lives
and at her death it is my will and desire that my son Samuel shall
have the title and possession of the same. All the rest of my
children one dollar a piece." Witnessed by Silas Davis and George
Dougherty.
