[1862] Daniel Geer settled in Preston on a tract of land which his father,George, had been granted by Owaneco Sachem, eldest son of Uncas, on 11Dec 1691. Daniel received the title of the land on 22 Feb 1706/7. Hhard working farmer, Daniel would add more land to his farm, buildinga significant estate.
