[876] Planter, minister, and physician, he emigrated in 1637 with his wife
and one or two children, his two sisters and his younger brother
William. He was briefly in Cambridge, MA, then Salem where he was
preacher and schoolmaster for almost four years. He then moved to
Wenham in 1641, gathered a church there, and then went with the
greater part of his members to Chelmsford where he was the first
pastor and also a physician.
