[964] Owen Sheridan was in New York City by 1852 when his oldest child,Bernard, was born. By 1858 he was in Minnesota. He apparently began asa teamster in Faribault, but over time bought and sold a considerableamount of property in the Faribault area from 1858 until about 1876.(FHL film #1,404,913)
[965] He died of heart disease. Occupation, farmer. Father's name unknown,Mother, Helen. Born in Ireland.

Know all men by....that I Owen Sheridan being feeble of body but sound
of mind and of full understanding do make publish and ....First...all
my ? debts be paid out of my personal property as soon after my
decease as may be/
Second. I give divise and bequeath all of my personal property
unassigned after the payment of my debts and funeral expenses unto my
beloved wife, Margaret Sheridan, to hold for her heirs and assigns
forever.
Third. I give and bequeath...Margaret Sheridan, the homestead on which
now live, the nw quarter of the se quarter of Section 35, Township
110, Range 21, Rice county, Minnesota. Also all that part of the west
half of the n.e. quarer of said section which lies south of ?.
Fourth. ..unto my children Bernard Sheridan, Louisa Nightingale,
Joseph Sheridan, Owen Sheridan, John Sheridan and Annie Burke and
their heirs and assigns forever my said homestead after the death of
my wife.
Fifth. ....to Bernard Sheridan, heirs and assigns ...free..any claim
of my said wife or any other person ten acres of land lying in the
north q? of the Faribault ? Cannon Lake road and adjoing my said
homestead on the east....
