In the 1860 Census taken in Pepin Co., W she is listed as Maria M(named after her grandmother, Maria Davis?), age 3, born PA, thefourth child of Silas D. and Lucinda Bennett.
In 1880 we find her in Wabesha Co., MN listed as Margaret M., age 22,the wife of Mitchell B. Morse, age 38, born PA (probable that he isBartlett M., son of Michael and Tryal Morse). They have threechildren and a boarder, his cousin John C. Bosworth. Judging by agesof the children and their places of birth, they had moved to MN in1879. Her father's obituary states that one of his surviving childrenwas a daughter Maggie of Minneapolis.
