The following are pictures taken on March 29, 2003 of the stone tavern in Ellisville that I am told was owned by James Ellis and Mary (Peyton) Ellis.   The tavern is located in Nicholas County, KY, just south of Blue Licks Battlefield on Highway 68. It appears to be undergoing renovations currently. The tavern is on the National Register of Historic Places.   If anyone has any information on the tavern past or present, please email me.
