Harry Price background

HARRY L. PRICE

The year appears to be 1922. I don't know if Harry

won the election or not.

Harry L. Price died at Jarman hospital at 5:30 Wednesday morning, August 3. The remains were removed to the Waddington Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday (today).

Services are scheduled for Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock, at the Waddington Funeral Home, with burial in Tuscola cemetery.

Mr. Price was born March 7, 1871, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Price. There were 13 children in the family, eight boys and five girls. He was preceded in death by two of the girls and two of the boys. The family farmed and, like the others, Mr. Price grew up here and took up farming.

As a young man he went to Iowa and farmed there for a time, but returned to Tuscola some 40 years ago and entered the insurance and real estate business. He was married February 20, 1895, to Emma V. Gregg who preceded him in death on February 1, 1934.

He was a member of the Southside Christian church. He remained more or less active in his business until the time he became ill. He suffered a stroke on October 8, 1947, and had been a patient at Jarman hospital since that time.

He is surved by five brothers, Adam, Ernest, Fred, Bert and Archie; three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Wallace, Weldon, Iowa; Mrs. Nellie Gilbert, Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. G. Simpson, Denver, Colorado; and a nephew, Neil Von Lanken, of Danville.
