Charlotte's Family Pages
I am Charlotte Seigler Miller and I live in Lima, Ohio. I am the list-manager of the BRUMMETTE, GLADSEN, PARTEN, PARTIN, PARTON, ROOSE, SEIGLER, SIEGLER, SWANNER, WAGERS, and WOOLUM surname mailing lists on Rootsweb, and I spend a lot of time working on genealogy.
I have been working on my family tree for about 11 years. My roots are in SE Kentucky, in places like Bell, Knox, Clay, Harlan, and Whitley Counties. Some of my family was from the Adair/Green/Taylor County area, and Jefferson County too. Some of my family originally came from Virginia and North Carolina too.
Some of my surnames are HALL, HOOKER, SEIGLER, RICE, WAGERS, SMITH, JACKSON, STEWART, HUBBARD, PARTIN, BROCKMAN, LANE, TEBBS/TIBBS, WARREN, BEVERLY, SPURLOCK, GAMBREL, EVANS, EVERSOLE, CALHOUN, TAYLOR, HENSON, HACKER, HARRIS, FOUSHEE, GRAY, HENSLEY, JENNINGS, JOHNSON, MCFARLAND, HUGHES, REED, REYNOLDS, HAYNES, HAINES, DAWSON, MAYES, ASHER, BAKER, BAILEY, COLLINS, GIBSON, WOOLUM, ROSE, HOSKINS, MILLER, YORK, and many more.
When I began my search, all that I had was the information from my Aunt Aileen Hooker Evans' Family Bible. It was just a few names, but from that, I have learned so much. I want to thank Aileen for giving me the desire to learn about my family roots, even though she had passed away by the time I began my search. Also, I want to thank Steve Evans, my first cousin and Aileen's son, for sharing Aileen's Bible with me and also for sharing her many photos with us. They are so wonderful to have. A big thank you also goes to my Aunt Mary Ruth Seabolt Hooker and her daughters, my first cousins, Diane Hooker Harnishfeger, Lisa Hooker Dye, and Angie Hooker Miller, for sharing their family pictures with us too. I want to thank my Aunt Wanda Hall Hooker too for sharing her family pictures with us. Also I want to thank my mother, Mary Louise Hooker Seigler, who was thrilled with all the discoveries that I made in my genealogy work. She passed away in November of 2000, and she was such a big support to me in my quest. I miss all my family members who have passed away so much. Thank you to my brother, Chad Lee Seigler, for sharing our mother's papers and pictures with me.
I also want to say thank you to all the people who have helped me with my genealogy work, some of them being: my first cousin, Linda Hooker Lefevers, who has helped me tremendously; my cousins: Joyce Taylor Collins, Richard Holt, Pauline Wing, Connie Hoskins, Shandry Dorroh, Twyla Padgett, Pauline King Owens, James Price, Marilyn Fair, Karen Yager, Robert House, Robert Keebler, Sheila Smith, Donna Marsh, Elsie Gambrel Underwood, Carol Johnson, Sue Morrow, Debbie Hooker May, Julie Click, Randy Jackson, Cassy Sommers, Linda Smith, and Phillip Lane; the late Robert Miller; the late Glena Mae Brog; William and Gina Smith and the others on the Smith groups on Yahoo, Kelly Blizzard and the others on the Woolum group on Yahoo, and also those who are on the many other lists that I am on. Without their help, I would not have learned all that I have. I am sorry if I have missed thanking anyone. I appreciate all the help that I have received. I have met so many nice people through my quest and I am so thankful to God for giving me so many good friends and relatives. I also want to thank my Family and More Group. You are such a good group and I am so thankful to you.
I also have a group on Yahoo for Bell County, Kentucky genealogy. We are a group that is researching our family roots in Bell County, Kentucky. The name of our group is Bell County Ky Families. If you would like to join us, on either Family and More or the Bell County Group, just let me know.
I have a group for Hamilton County, Ohio, called Hamilton County Ohio Families. I also have one for those of us researching the HOOKER surname, called HOOKER SURNAME.
I also have one called Sharing Family Friends and More for those of us who want to share graphics, pictures, stories, prayer requests, etc.
If you would like to join any of my groups on Yahoo or any of my lists on Rootsweb, please let me know. Thank you.
Also, I want to thank the many people who have helped me with learning to make webpages, and I thank you for all your suggestions. Thank you too, Jean Peppers, for helping with the webpages, and the many nice people on the Frontpage help list and the Freepages Help list on Rootsweb. Without all your help, I would never have been able to figure out how to make the pages.
I am putting some of my Family Trees on my site too, so if you have any additions or corrections, please let me know. It is a work in progress, and much of the information has been given to me by fellow researchers. Thank you again to all who have helped me.
Feel free to use the documents for your own use, all that I ask is that you not take the information or documents and use them to make money from them. I want my information and documents to always be free for everyone.
Thank you,
Charlotte Miller
