Birth Record of Isaac Hunter

Isaac Hunter's birth record comes from the Parish records of Heversham, Westmoreland, England.  His christening record reads:  "August 23, 1818 Isaac illegitimate son of Alice Hunter of Workhouse Milnthorpe.  Yes, Isaac Hunter has his mother's surname, Hunter,  just as did Charles Barker.  However, we do know who Isaac's father was, Matthew Bradshaw.

With this latest research we have acquired another ancestral tree as well as many, many new cousins.  For those that grew up in Taylorsville, Utah, you will already know some of these new cousins.  Isaac Hunter's first son, Jacob Hunter married Mary Adeline Shafer.  They were the parents of eleven children.  One of those children, Mary Edith Hunter married Robert Dick Coats.  They had a son named William Jacob Coats who married Eliza Marjorie Harman.  They were the parents of the following children:  Archie Dewain, LaVarr William, Gerald Dick, Betty Jean, Carolyn, and Steven J. Coats.  It is Carolyn Coats McDougal that has been very helpful and shared much information with me about Isaac Hunter and his life.  We all need to be grateful to her.
