Based on the earlier recorded name of Yoo Tick Link and its metamorphosis to hybrid surname Utick (which was a combination of Yoo + Tick) there are two possible Chinese surnames. If Utick is pronounced U as in the letter U then there is a Hokkien (dialect of Amoy [Xiamen])surname called Yew (尤)or Yang in Mandarin. On the other hand Yoo sounds a little like Yeo (as in Yeoman)which is a different surname. I believe the former is more likely the case.
