hi! i'm anna, live here in p.i. mindanao island..my ggggrandfather is from amoy china..surname CO, his filipino name is Juan Sona Co..was filipinized as...Juan Sona Reyes-Co..his filipino friend gave him his filipino surname to be officially fil citizen. those were they ways before..my ggggrandfather was sponsored by the Reyes family from Gingoog Mis. Oriental. my ggggrandfather married a native from Gingoog to Marcela Torres. we have relatives in luzon..when my gggrandfather visits manila he reside with his relatives in binondo..not really sure where they are now..or what their family names are..this side of the family i want to explore...my roots are in gingoog but wanting to know more about my ggggrandfather who came from amoy china. hope to hear from other relatives.thanks so much.enjoyed reading your letter.always.anna
