I saw European listings on microfilm at the Latter Saints Family History Center in China. Their libraries are located in many areas internationally. Initially, I searched their microfische which has a copy of the catalog card with descriptions of the microfilm or book contents, Under different subjects for different parts of China and other countries, such as:China, Kwangtung, Chungshan-Hsien-Emigration and Immigration. I had to borrow the actual microfilm by interlibrary from Salt Lake City, Utah from the local family history center. Europeans were listed by name and occupation; some were listed as a member of a parish in Shanghai, HK, etc. (baptisms, marriages, deaths). Mostly, I found the handwritten/typed entries legible. Some entries are short on details.Good luck.
