My grandfather is Que PoSiong (also known as Que ChunLim). His story is that he came from Amoy, China too and that he settled in Samar. I remember from stories that angkong usually goes to Binondo. I also remember being brought by angkong into a sort of association which I can't remember.
Sadly for me, I am still grappling the difficulties of self-learning chinese so I can communicate and trace my family roots. My mother is named Que Lili in chinese.
