My grandfather, "Jose" (name he must've adopted once he assimilated into the Mexican culture) Chio Lu was from Canton, China. Any information regarding the origin of my last name and my genealogy would be greatly appreciated. He came to Mexico as a young boy in search of his brother. He finally settled and married a Mexican lady. If anyone has any infomation on the Chio Lu family name is greatly appreciated-all his records were lost in a flood.
