: Hi there,
: As far as I know my surname is from Hokkien origin; my ancestors came from Fujian/ Hokkien and went (1800-1850) to Indonesia; my father emigrated 35 years ago to the Netherlands. Because we are expecting our first baby (probably a boy) next january, we would like to know more about our surname etc. in order to choose a proper Chinese name. Most books on Chinese names are for Mandarin names unfortunately. Can anybody get me more information on names from Hokkien origin or specifically on our name. Thanking you in advance for your efforts.
