Another "Looi" to add to your collection! I'm from Australia.
My surname originated from "Loi" - I was born in Malaysia. But my grandfather had 8 children and couldn't spell using the english alphabet. Thus everytime he wnet down to the birth registry to name his new child, he spelt the surname incorecctly - thus we have Looi, Loi, Loui and several other surnames - all brothers & sisters.
This is true, btw.
