I have had some contact with Roy Foong who is from the branch that went to Guyana.
It occurs to me: the "Hung Soo" I have on the family tree - could this be Hung Hsiu Ch'uan (as I first knew the name?) Would that pronunciation be possible? The generation seems right. Hung Soo had a son James Hung who moved to Australia in (I think) 1867.
Anyone care to give an opinion?
