Am trying to trace detals of birth of John Davison born in Pekin 1816 to 1818 and emigrated from China to Australia approximately 1837. Parents names unknown but mother was Chinese and father (Davison) probably Scottish. Can anyone tell me where to begin looking for chinese information? Thankyou
