Singaporean students trace their family ancestry in cyberspace

Chinese genealogy website Chineseroots.com reaches out to young adults at university information and communication technology fair

Singapore, July 12, 2000 - Teens and young adults in Singapore will have the chance to learn all about building an online Jia Pu (family ancestry record in Chinese) come next month. Chineseroots.com, the leading multilingual Chinese genealogy and family services provider, will be showcased at elive@2000, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Fair at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Together with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and NUS� Science Computer-based Learning Centre, two government-backed organizations, Chineseroots.com will be creating widespread awareness and sharing how ICT can enhance the lives of teens and young adults in school, family, career development and leisure avenues.
