My surname is Lum-Ho. I am the descendant of Chinese immigrants of Maui, Hawai`i. I would like to know the dialect and origin of my surname and what it means. I was told that Lum means forest. I do know that my great-grandfather's name was Obed Lum-Ho. Please help.
