```To answer Wu Lin about the surname Chua, I am a Chua. As far as I know it is a Teochew clan name with it's origin in Southeast China.```I visited Chao-an (near Shantou) recently and met many old relatives for the first time. Many of them had the name Chua and all spoke Teochew dialect as I do in Singapore when visiting my family.
