: I am lookig for family information on my husband parents and there families. David Gong, Roslyn and June were all born in the States. Theire parents Gong, Chow and Siu, Shee were born in China. Chow is from Ping Sang Hoy village, in Far Yuen District, China Shee is from Tit Sang village, Far Yuen Dist, China. I have a birth date for Shee as KS 29-3-9 (April 6, 1903)I know of one brother for Chow, named Gong, Moon. I belive Shee had 3 brothers and a sisters. I know of no brothers or sisters, that came over from China, for Chow or Shee. Any one with information on these families, please contact me. (in english, i don't understand Chinese)

I believe the Far Yuen District that you cited should be Fah Yuen. The Gong surname is not indigenous to the South of China, but is rather a Northern name. The origins of the Southern Gong lineage started with members of the Imperial Court who fled to the South due to political turmoil. You may want to try contacting The Fah Yuen Association at 647 Jackson Street in San Francisco for more information.
