I don't understand your question. Do you want a surname i.e. last name? or a forename i.e. first name?

When you adopt a baby from China, she'll usually have both a first and last name already. Of course when you adopt her, she'll have your last name.

Mulan is a first name and means wood orchid. I don't know if that's a magnolia flower. Mulan is a historical figure.

Hope this helps some. You might try www.chinasprout.com They have many bullentin boards concerning adoption from China, naming etc. This site is more for geneaological research.
