I think Mulan is a good Chinese girl's name. Literally, it means a kind of plant, but sorry for my poor knowledge of plant names in English, I don't know whether it means magnolia, but it is definitely a Chinese name. More important, this name relates to the historical story of the brave feminine warrior, as you know some from the Cartoon. As far as I know, Disney?s cartoon based on a thousands of years old Chinese poem. In my eyes (pure Chinese eyes:-), Mulan represents brave, strength and responsible.
Enjoy your time with your daughter!
