Tony,

I hope you have found the information you are seeking. I was born in Toi Shan, which is a vast province in Guang Zhou. Should you have any of you greatgreat or/and great parents names written in chinese, I can ask my grandmother for some information. I wish you all the best.

Best Regards,
Wa

: I am searching for the village of my great-great grandfather who called himself Im Fun Chung and came from a village probably north of Guangzhou (he referred to as "the inland"). He emigrated to Australia in the 1850s as a gold miner, but most likely died back in China. My godfather's name was Suey Chong (or Cheong) and he was probably from the same village. Other family friends were Ohoys who probably came from Toi Shan. Any help in tracking down the surname or village would be appreciated as I will be living in China soon and hope to visit my ancestral village.
