My maternal family name is Auyong. I'm actually looking for the characters in cursive calligraphy for a family reunion in Hawaii. Our great grandparents are from the same we call in cantonese Chung Shan. I'm not sure of the village but Dai Leong does ring a bell. The Auyong or Owyang family is my maternal grandfather's surname. Most of our family we know of lives in Hawaii and can not help you because we don't know anything. My great grandparents came to Hawaii as farmers and raised their family on the farm in Honolulu. They came from China in the late 1800's. My grandfather is #2 of 8 children all born in Hawaii. He was born I believe around 1885.
