Hi there:

Just interested in Mah history. My parents come from Toishan. I know that the original Ma surname
was dervived from Chou She in Shanxi. I'm wondering if the Toishan Mahs are related to the North West islamic Chinese Mahs and if both of these groups are related to Chou She and the famous Ma Chao (which happens to be my chinese name).
