HI

My name is ernie..and i'm from sydney australia....born and raised there...

Like yourself...i was taught chiu chow by my grandparents.. who migrated to Laos soon after they were married in the mid 60s...my grandparents...were both from the same part of china...i never got a chance to ask where..they passed on..before i had the chance.

It is difficult to trace family names as there is little documented in the parts of asia where we originated from. The furtherest link i had was my great grand father...who passed on in 98.

my grandma had 6 sisters and my grandfather got a letter from china..from his half brother..1-2 years back...i know little of what happened..as he was ill at the time..and in hospital...

perhaps you should wait.....like me....we got contacted from china.....although there is little proof that it is authentic..and not just someone wanting a visa.

Anyways

Good Luck
