I live in Sydney Australia but am told that my grandfather went to Singapore from Hokkien "Aunkway"(Aunkui??) district in China when he was 15 and died way before I was born. There is no family album or related living relatives who much about my grandfather.

The following is all the information I've of my grandfather.

Name: Lim Ban(as in 10,000) Bee(Beauty?)
In Pinyin it will be Lin Wan Mei.
Year Born: ~1884
Place of Birth: Hokkien Aunkuay(?), China.
Went to Singapore when he was 15 in ~1899.
Died at 53 in ~1937 in Singapore.

His wife(my grandmother) name is Chia Sin(as in New) Tai(as in the sun) she is a full Hakka, am told and she was born in ~1900 and died at the age of ~71 in ~1971. I think she was born in Malaysia my grandma.

I would like to know who my grandfather parents are and where do their ancestors originated from in China. My second uncle is said to look most like my grandpa and he doesn't look very Chinese with very high nose like a Turk or Jew. My second uncle son, my cousin also have that kind of nose and seemingly lower cheekbones and longer body just like his dad and my grandpa. My dad's(third son) nose is not as long or high like them and I look more like my mother who is Hakka/Cantonese extract.

Any help from anyone will be much appreciated

Regards..
Jonathan
