There are several obstacles that you have to overcome. First, a generation poem from other Wong family in Guangdong would probably be the same as yours. But since there are at least three difference surnames that are represented by Wong, you will need to make sure you get the right one. Next, you will need to know which generation you belong to, and that may require a lot of geneological research. Thirdly, traditionally most Chinese have more than one name. The name following the generation poems is usually not the one given at birth, but is an additional name taken on after marriage.
