: : if you read chinese history you know that
the hong in hong Xiuquan means flood and this
is found throughout South east Asia, principally
in Singapore, Indonesia and the phillipines
where it is spelled as Ang because most
of the Angs have forefathers from Fukien.

Officially it is spelled as hong and is
number 184 in the Bao Zhia xing (pardon my
pinyin spelling).

I was born in Indonesia the 7th generation
Ang and I am the only surviving Ang that
retained the Chinese surname. All my sibling
have changed into Anwar during the conversian
in 1967 or thereabout.
I can speak and write Mandarin. To cantact me
