My daughter, born in China in 2000, was given the name Cao, Meng Tong from the administrator of the orphanage. I learned Cao was the administrator's sir name and decided to drop it. I renamed her and kept Meng Tong as her middle name. I've seen it spelled as above or as Mengtong in various adoption documention. Any idea of the meaning? I've been told it's possibly "precious one" but have been unable to confirm.
