I'm a Chow, when I was growing up we belonged to the Gee Tuck Sam Tuck Family Association. The only families to belong to this association were Chows, Ngs, Chois and there were 2 others but I've forgotten. My mom told me that there were 5 brothers and we took their names as our surname and belong to the same association.
I know that there is a family association for Chans too b/c when I married one. When we were married a gift was made to the Chan family association and Gee Tuck.... I can't remember the Chan family association name. I don't know what other surnames belonged to that association.
