My grandfather's name was Astor Aleong from Port of Spain, Trinidad. My mother is an Aleong also. I ws told they came from Canton, China or what is now called Guangdong. I was also told that they came over around the 1870's and was a wealthy. The name is also associated with a Chin A Poo.
