My family is also from Hoy Ping (Kai Ping in Mandarin) a villaged not far from Guangzhou(Canton). I believe Ong would be Deng in Mandarin, the same as Deng Xiaoping. Many people immigrated from that area (Pearl River Delta) to N. America in search of their fortune. His headstone will probably have the street in the village that he came from.
