I have met a few Tecsons now residing in California who trace their ancestry back to the town of San Miguel de Mayumo in Bulacan. I know that we must be somehow related since the Tecsons figure prominently among my relatives on both my father and mother side. Any genealogical research done on the internet will at this point suffer from not only a generation gap but a technological one. The persons in the know, the older generation, are less likely to access the computer and pass on the information.

My father being orphaned early in life, grew up as a ward of an uncle, Mariano Tecson (aka Cabesang Mariano) who I believe, had sons, Eugenio, Mateo and Pablo and daughter, Rosing. I would appreciate correction on this one and more information on how Mariano Tecson was related to other better known Tecsons, Pablo, Pedro, etc.

It is strange that while studying at the Ateneo in Quezon City, there were also other Tecsons at the time, such as William and Wilfred, who also finished the same course as mine, BS Management Engineering. I learned about this when I met them at a christening this weekend. I believe that there are Tecsons from the same branch as my father's, who are now living in the US, e.g., Wilma, Aida. I hope they can drop me a line and perhaps arrange a meeing sometime.
