Our surname is spelled Ke and pronounced: aspirated "k" + e. It seems that my ancestor came to West Java from Lam-ceng Koan (Nanjing Xian) or Nanjing County, Ciang-ciu Hu (Zhangzhou Fu) or Zhangzhou Prefecture in the province of Hokkian (Fujian) in the beginning of the 19th century.
