this thread is old but i found it so interesting.
my grandfather is half chinese/viet.
chinese with the teochew dialect.
the family is from rach gia in vietnam.
and my middle name is Du
i recall my mom saying that my father picked my middle name due to some sort of generation/dynasty. They were never able to explain it to me.
I know all that i've said has been mentioned in all the other posts and that's why i find it interesting.
