Trying to trace ancestors back to China. Ong (king) is written by three horizontal lines split in the middle by a vertical line. Also known as Wang, Wong, Huang. My grandfather's name is Ong Han Ping; he was born in Semarang, Indonesia around 1916 and worked as a bookkeeper in the seaport of Semarang for a prominent Chinese trader.
