Jinchuan is correct... You would need to see the chinese character for your grandfather's last name to know which "Hung" it is. There are at least two meanings that I know of based upon the Cantonese pronunciation of the name... the colour, "red" and the animal, "bear".

If your great-grandfather's last name is the animal, "bear" then my dad has a geneology that goes back hundreds of years. That lineage comes from the Taishan region in Canton province in southern China.
