I am searching for information about my grandfather San P. Chan. I have my grandparents marriage license with the following information. San P. Chan, born in Seattle, Washington, Feb. 18, 1894 or 1895, his parents are Mon or Man Chan and Gee Yee. San married Elsie Welsh Smith on Sept. 7, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio. They had one child, Betty Chan, born July 10, 1921. San was the owner or partner in a Chinese Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, located on Noth High St. He was sent back to China on family business before Betty Chan(my mother) was born and was supposedly killed there when he was hit by a train.
Any information about San would be greatly appreciated!
