As we do not know the original dialect it was transliterated from, we cannot tell untill we obtain the chinese character it was derrived from. However, I would not rule out:

As quoted by Oscar, because keep in mind, it's the 21st most common surname... and I myself have that surname. (ie: My 'Liang' is written as 'Leo').
Liang became Leo through the Hinanese dialect.
While Leo could be the result of other translations, do not rule out Liang since I am a case in point!
