I am also a Chan but my family comes from Mexico My great grand father was from China they said he came from Canton, my grandfather my fathers dad lived in China for about 10 years when he was a kid and said he loved it but I guess a revolution started there so they returned to Mexico. I wish I could find out where my ancestry comes from too. My grandfather died before I could find anything out.
