As an acknowledgement of thanks to AAJA for supplying volunteers for the Journalism Workshops, members of OCA New England volunteered at the AAJA National Convention in Boston this year.



May 2, 9, 16, 30, 2009 - Boston, MA - Journalism and Writing Workshop

OCA - New England Chapter in conjunction with AAJA New England and BCNC conducts a Journalism and Writing Workshop for High School and Middle School Students (light lunches will be provided)

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

  1. Participate in a free interactive journalism/writing workshop for teens at Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center during four Saturdays in May.

  2. The course offers participants a chance to meet, to learn, and to work with some local journalists as they practice their craft. Hear about different types of journalism in print and electronic media. Learn about the skills required and the opportunities in journalism.

  3. The May Saturday sessions are: May 2, 9, 16, 30, for two hours from 10 a.m. to 12. A light lunch followed each workshop session. List of lunch donors is in the sequel
