Matilda Catharine Combs was the daughter of William Cecil and Celina Wesley Kendrick Combs (a picture of them may be viewed at the Russel Co. Genweb Page). She was born 8-13-1861 in Council, Buchanan Co, Virginia. After the death of Lafe she married Joe Perry.
