1847 Record of Else's birth and christening (at the bottom of the page) in the Hvidbjoerg (Orum-Lodbjoerg) V.Aa, Denmark, Parish church (Lutheran), 9 February 1847: FHL film# 053080, item 2, Bk. 5 (1840-1859). According to her granddaughter, Virginia Christensen Keeler (1901-1970) in her extensive family history, Some Christensen's Who Came from Thy, published by J. Grant Stevenson, Provo, Utah, 1969, p. 67, the translation of this entry into English reads, as follows: Else Cathrine Andersen, born 9 Feb. 1847 in Kjallerup, Hvidbjerg Parish, Hassing District, Thisted county (Denmark), baptized at home, 10 Mar. 1847; Parents - Farmer Anders Christen Christensen and wife, Mette Kirstine Christensdatter.

1866 (age 19) Having departed Aalborg, Denmark, by water on 16 May 1866, to eventually reach Hamburg, Germany, via Copenhagen and Kiel (see Virginia Christensen Keeler (1901-1970), Some Christensen's Who Came from Thy, published by J. Grant Stevenson, Provo, Utah, 1969, pp. 174-178), the Christensen family left Hamburg on the British ship Kenilworth, 25 May 1866.
