1832 Marriage to Mary Waslin, 23 December 1832, Sculcoates Marriage Records, 1831-1837, PE46/25[9], No. 303, pg. 135, East Riding Archives Office, County Hall, Beverley, England, HU17 9BA. It is to be noted that the marriage took place by banns, and that John Edward Metcalf signed his name, while Mary Waslin made her mark. (Elaine Harris and Sue Laing found this record in July 1996, on a genealogical research trip for the ABC/SJB Family Foundation, and had the certificate created.)
