Henry Jackson Lightfoot of Virginia. He died 1861 in Adonis, Polk Co. His son, John, b. in KY and married Keziah Chapman. They lived in Polk Co. from 1851 and died Humansville. Their son Henry J. "Poddy" Lightfoot joined the Cavalry during the Civil War. Later, he was active in education and politics and was elected by the Republican party as tax collector for Polk Co. He was also a deacon in the Baptist Church. He married Frances "Fanny" Vaughan and they had six children, including my grandma, Lula Lightfoot Bass. (source: family and "The History of Missouri.")
