From Claredon District; Private in E Company; died at Richmond of wounds received during battle Jan. 27. 1862.

McKensie, Geo. W.
From Richland District. age 22; Private in Company F 2nd SC Volunteers; died Nov. 4, 1864; died Jackson, VA of wounds received at _______ Oct 13.

McKensie, Potser
From York District; age 25; Private in Company C, 18th SC Volunteers; died July 30, 1864; killed in explosion of mine Petersburg.

The above information was confirmed by Professor William J. Rivers of the South Carolina College. Prof. Rivers was appointed by the SC Legislature in 1864 to collect an accurate record of SC soldiers who had fallen in defense of the state.
